«With myROOMZ, employees have the freedom to choose their work environment, and the stress of uncertainty over finding an available desk has disappeared.»
Altares-D&B, the exclusive partner in France, the Benelux, and North Africa of the global Dun and Bradstreet network, is a corporate data expert supporting private and public organizations in making informed decisions with confidence. With the rise of remote work and the shift to Flex Office, Altares needed to ensure smooth team organization across multiple sites, including its headquarters in La Défense, Paris.
Initial Flex Office challenges
Before adopting myROOMZ, teams relied on manual calendars to manage shared desks. «With remote work, we had introduced shared team calendars. Not everyone followed them. It was difficult to know if we would meet our colleagues» explains Florian Lakech.
This lack of visibility hindered team collaboration and made it difficult to create a well-organized work environment.
Why myROOMZ was chosen
myROOMZ provided a direct solution. With online desk reservations, employees can now plan their day at the office independently. «With myROOMZ, employees have the freedom to choose their work environment, and the stress of uncertainty over finding an available desk has disappeared» Florian Lakech adds.
Being able to select a preferred desk also boosts well-being and collaboration: «If we plan ahead, we can reserve our favorite desk, away from restrooms, next to a window, or beside a favorite colleague.»
The app also provides clear information on desk equipment, avoiding surprises such as missing dual monitors. Managers can even block certain desks for specific needs, like fixed PCs, Macs, or other special configurations.
Adoption and employee experience
The intuitive interface of myROOMZ desk booking application has been a key factor in adoption. Teams highlight its simplicity and user-friendly design, while initial resistance came mainly from employees less familiar with Flex Office.
Today, Altares manages 183 desks in France and Belgium, along with 26 parking spaces, through myROOMZ and plans to expand the ROOMZ workspace management ecosystem by adding meeting room booking displays.
In conclusion, Florian Lakech sums up his experience with ROOMZ in two words: «Excellent!»
